Come spend the day touring some of Galveston historical highlights:
The Elissa--The Galveston Historical Foundation bought The Elissa, an 1877 square-rigged iron barque, from a scrapyard in Greece in 1978. Restoration was completed by 1982. The 1877 Tall Ship is only one of three ships of her kind in the world to still actively sail.
Harbor Boat Tour—See the Harbor up close aboard Seagull II, a 50’, twin-engine motor vessel. The boat is U.S. Coast Guard certified, and the operators are licensed and knowledgeable about the history and lore of Galveston’s water. If you choose the open upper deck, it offers a full panorama of the water and sky.
The Bishop’s Palace—The 1892 Bishop’s Palace, also known as Gresham House, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places at the national level of significance in the area of architecture. Architectural historians list the Bishop’s Palace as one of the most significant of Victorian residences in the country.
Oh, brush up on your Forrest Gump history--the restaurant will have trivia questions for you!

$29.00/person ($32.00 for non-members) which includes the admission to The Elissa, Harbor Boat Tour, and The Bishop's Palace. There will be snacks and water on the bus. No charge for the bus. Lunch is on your own.

FYI—there are no restrooms on the bus.
Please arrive at Memorial City Mall no later than 8:30. The bus location address is 12161 Barryknoll Lane,--look for the triangular parking lot.
DIRECTIONS FROM GESSNER:
Turn on Barryknoll from Gessner. Go just a little way down, and right past Planation on your right, there is a triangular parking lot. That is where we will meet. It’s almost directly across Barryknoll from the Cinemark Theater in the mall. If you get to the apartments on your right, you’ve gone too far.
