Ground Transportation
Transfers between airports and hotels are arranged for the main group and are coordinated with the main group’s flight itineraries.  It is incumbent upon the participants to adhere to this recommendation, cost for off schedule transportation will be the responsibility of the participant.

Roommate requirement
If a registrant is a single traveler, it is the responsibility of the participant to identify a qualified roommate. If the Trip Coordinator aids with roommate matching, it will be the responsibly for each participant to communicate and approve the match within two weeks of being notified by email. If participants do not agree, then one of the following options exist:
•    the option to pay for a single supplement (if available), or
•    be moved to the wait list, or
•    cancel less club cancellation fee before final payment

Forms of Payment
SCSC will no longer accept cash as payment for trips.  Credit Card, Check, Cashier’s Check and Money Orders are acceptable forms of payment.

Perhaps the most recognized reason to choose Steamboat is for the legendary Champagne Powder, a term coined by the resort to describe snow so dry it will tickle your nose.  At 6% water density (15% is normal), you can’t make a snowball, but you will experience the best ski conditions the country has to offer.  Great snow will be relished by any level of skier at Steamboat’s vast variety of 169 runs ranging from novice to expert.  Steamboat has added the new Wild Blue Gondola which is the longest and fastest 10-person gondola in North America.   This state-of-the-art gondola will feed skiers/riders through a newly created mid-station adjacent to Bashor bowl with the final destination at the top of Sunshine Peak increasing capacity by 50%.

MORE THAN JUST GREAT SKIING

If you are not skiing, you can still access and experience the mountain with the Gondola for dining at the top with awesome scenery and stunning natural views.  For a change of pace, Haymaker Nordic Center offers 15 km of groomed trails for novice-to-advanced cross country and skate skiing plus 10km of snow shoe trails.  Howelsen Hill is a City Park that offers more skiing and actually has ski-jumping for the ultra-daring.  Other non-skiing activities include ice-skating, snow-mobiling, horseback riding, fat-biking and winter fishing. 
Another club favorite activity is Strawberry Park Hot Springs.  You can take a break from the cold and soak in these natural mineral springs that average 104 degrees all year long.  They offer various separate pools ranging from scalding hot to ice-cold.

Historic Downtown is the heart of the community that you must experience.  The main drag is Lincoln Avenue which you can easily access by free shuttle. There are over 150 retail establishments Downtown which include many local and diverse eateries and many bars including three breweries and a whiskey distillery.  There is also incredible shopping with a little something for everyone from authentic western souvenirs, outdoor gear of all kinds to just funky accessories and resale shops.  The rumor is that there will be an expert bargain shopping guide that knows this town among us.  So, there will likely be a shopping excursion in our activity list.
