Experience old-world charm! Newman’s Castle is a one-of-a-kind custom creation hidden just outside of Bellville in the rolling countryside. The castle features a moat (watch out for gators!), a massive working 3,000 lb. drawbridge with an accompanying portcullis, a chapel, five round corner turrets, a courtyard, and a central keep with a dramatic view of the surrounding lands. There’s even a perimeter wall that encompasses the castle to keep you safe from oncoming marauders! An introduction to the castle with the story and history starts at 11:00, followed by your own self-guided tour and lunch (which is included).
We will then head to Henkel Square in Round Top—a one-square-mile gem that offers scenic splendor, eclectic finds and unforgettable flavors—all paired with an unmistakable element of nostalgia. Henkel Square is and has been the heart of Round Top and its history since the 1800s and has it all—shops, restaurants, antiques, etc. Enjoy the afternoon strolling, sitting, shopping, sipping…whatever makes you happy!

$25.00/person ($30.00 for non-members) which includes the Newman Castle tour with lunch, and water and snacks on the bus. No charge for the bus.
Please arrive at Memorial City Mall no later than 8:15. The bus location address is 12161 Barryknoll Lane,--look for the triangular parking lot.
