The resort features more than 2,000 skiable acres, 149 trails, and over 4,400 feet of vertical terrain, providing something for every skier. Telluride has earned its reputation as one of North America's premier ski resorts by offering an exceptional variety of terrain for every ability level.Terrain ranges from wide groomed cruisers and scenic intermediate trails to advanced bowls and challenging expert runs. The resort's thoughtful layout allows groups of varying abilities to enjoy the mountain together while choosing terrain that matches their comfort level.

One of the joys of skiing Telluride is discovering its signature runs. Beginners and intermediate skiers will love Galloping Goose, one of the longest green runs in North America at 4.6 miles, offering a scenic and confidence-building descent from Mountain Village. Intermediate skiers won't want to miss the breathtaking views from See Forever, a favorite blue run that lives up to its name. Intermediate and advanced skiers will enjoy the wide-open groomers accessed from Revelation Lift, while expert skiers can test their skills on the legendary terrain of Gold Hill and Palmyra Peak, where bowls, chutes, and spectacular alpine scenery provide a thrilling challenge.  Telluride boasts a total of 149 trails, 18 lifts including 2 gondolas and provides over 2000 acres of skiing.  The high elevation is 13.150 feet.   The terrain mix is 23% easier, 36% intermediate and 41% advanced/expert. Even if you never ski the same run twice, you’ll still have new terrain waiting to be explored.

While Mountain Village provides convenient ski-in/ski-out access, Historic Telluride offers a completely different mountain experience. Stroll along Colorado Avenue and discover beautifully preserved Victorian buildings that reflect the town’s rich mining heritage. Today, those historic storefronts are home to inviting restaurants, cozy cafés, unique boutiques, art galleries, and local shops that make Telluride one of Colorado’s most charming mountain towns.

Whether you’re enjoying lunch after a morning on the slopes, browsing for a unique souvenir, or simply taking in the spectacular scenery, Historic Telluride is a place you’ll want to visit throughout the week.

Beyond the Slopes
Telluride offers far more than exceptional skiing. Whether you're taking a day off from the mountain or simply looking for another adventure, there are plenty of ways to enjoy this remarkable destination.

Popular winter activities include guided backcountry ski tours; Nordic skiing at the Telluride Nordic Center; fat tire biking; guided snowmobile tours; and a relaxing spa day at The Peaks Resort. You can also explore Historic Telluride's galleries, boutiques, and cafés, or enjoy snowshoeing, dog sledding, horseback riding, ice skating, and winter hiking.   No matter how you choose to spend your day, Telluride offers memorable experiences both on and off the slopes.

One evening we’ll gather for our traditional Thursday group dinner at one of the wonderful restaurants in the area.   It’s one of Space City’s favorite traditions, giving everyone an opportunity to relax, enjoy a wonderful meal, reveal the Photo Scavenger Hunt winners, and share stories from the week’s adventures.

Your Ski-In/Ski-Out Mountain Home

Our home for the week is Mountain Lodge Telluride, ideally located in Mountain Village with true ski-in/ski-out access to Telluride Ski Resort.

 Mountain Lodge Telluride is located between the Double Cabins and Village Bypass runs, providing convenient access to the slopes and making it easy to enjoy a full day on the mountain. Simply step outside, click into your skis, and you’re on your way.

The lodge combines classic Colorado mountain architecture with the comfort of spacious condominium accommodations, creating the perfect place to gather with friends after an exciting day of skiing.
Its location allows our group to maximize time on the mountain while enjoying convenient access to Mountain Village and the free gondola to Historic Telluride

Our group will enjoy beautiful 2 bedroom & 2 bath condos featuring comfortable living areas, fully equipped kitchens, fireplaces, and plenty of room to relax after a day on the slopes. The 2nd bedroom is a loft-like area with a high wall for privacy and private bath.
Whether you’re preparing breakfast before first tracks, gathering to share stories from the day’s adventures, or simply unwinding in front of the fire, Mountain Lodge provides all the comforts of home in a spectacular mountain setting.

Convenient Travel from Houston

For the easiest travel experience, choose the Space City Ski Club Full Package, which includes the group's nonstop United Airlines flights between Houston and Montrose, along with ground transportation between Montrose and Mountain Lodge Telluride.
Members selecting the Land Package should book flights with arrival and departure times similar to the group schedule so they can utilize the club's scheduled ground transportation. Telluride is a 40 minute shuttle ride from Montrose airport and includes a grocery stop.

Rentals
On Site ski and snowboard rentals and lessons are available at the mountain. It is best to reserve either prior to the trip. Specific tips and discounts on rentals will be offered to registered members
