HEMI HIDEOUT:
The Hemi Hideout is the realization of a lifelong dream for owner John Hovas, whose love affair with Dodge and Plymouth muscle cars of the ’60s and ’70s grew into this one-of-a-kind Texas-sized collection.
The venue is packed with an impressive collection of classic Mopar muscle cars, more than 600 vintage porcelain and neon signs dating as far back as the early 1900s, plus antique tractors, motorcycles and an incredible assortment of Americana memorabilia—all lovingly restored to their original glory.
And there’s so much more! This ultimate man cave even features a 1950s-style diner and soda fountain. It’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane that car enthusiasts—and anyone who appreciates a good dose of Americana—will enjoy!
BROOKWOOD COMMUNITY:
After our visit to Hemi Hideout, we’ll head to Brookwood Community for lunch and shopping on your own.
Founded in 1983, Brookwood is a nonprofit residential and vocational community dedicated to changing the way the world thinks about adults with disabilities. Brookwood provides an educational environment where adults with disabilities can experience meaningful work, develop a sense of belonging and discover genuine purpose in their lives.
Enjoy lunch at the Café at Brookwood, browse the beautiful gift shop and pick up some holiday treasures—including those famous poinsettias!
Details:
$12.50/person ($15.00 for non-members) which includes the admission, tour and flight simulator with coffee. There will be snacks and water on the bus. No charge for the bus. Lunch is on your own.
Refund Policy: Per the Standing Rules, a $10.00 cancellation fee will be charged for all events over $10.00. A potential caveat is if the cancellation is at the last minute where tickets have been purchased and we are unable to fill your spot, we may not be able to refund you.

11:30 Arrive at Cafe at Brookwood for lunch and shopping

3:00 Arrive at Memorial City Mall
FYI—there are no restrooms on the bus.
Please arrive at Memorial City Mall no later than 8:15. The bus location address is 12161 Barryknoll Lane,--look for the triangular parking lot.
DIRECTIONS FROM GESSNER:
Turn on Barryknoll from Gessner. Go just a little way down, and right past Planation on your right, there is a triangular parking lot. That is where we will meet. It’s almost directly across Barryknoll from the Cinemark Theater in the mall. If you get to the apartments on your right, you’ve gone too far.
