CARLOS GONZALEZ

on Wednesday, February 16th, 2022.

Some of you may have traveled with Carlos & Christiane (Chile) on the Chamonix and Snow Mass trips over the recent years.

Carlos Enrique Gonzalez Lepera, 67, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2022, following complications from surgery. He was affectionally known to many as "the most interesting man in the world." His career as a nuclear physicist renowned in his field for cutting edge production of radiopharmaceuticals spanned: Oakridge Laboratory, faculty positions at U of Pennsylvania and U of Texas, and executive positions at Cyclotope and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Carlos was a die hard Argentine fútbol fan, an epic skier, adventurer, life of the party, and a loving and positive presence in the lives of those who were lucky to know him. He leaves behind his sweetheart, Christiane Hile, daughter, Brenda Gonzalez Horowitz (Ben Horowitz), and granddaughte
