TRIP DESCRIPTION
WHY CHOOSE THIS TRIP?
Where can you find world class skiing, as well as probably the most charming, historic, ski town in North America? At Telluride, CO ski resort of course! Not only has Telluride had been voted North America’s #1 Ski resort for multiple years by Conde Nast Traveler but it was also Ski Magazine Editor’s Choice in 2021! Condé Nast Traveler readers voted Telluride the #4 Best Small City in North America as well! You also will be partaking in the fabulous fun the Texas Ski Council (TSC) has to offer as this is their Winter Shootout!
What better place for a “Texas Winter SHOOTOUT” then in a 150-year old gold miner/cowboy town? Do you miss seeing all of your TSC friends from other clubs since last year’s TSC trips were cancelled? Revitalize those friendships, and make new ones, at this spectacular Colorado destination February 5-12, 2022! Join me (TC Cindy Moore) for a ski/board unforgettable experience! I make it my mission to pay attention to every detail and request and have led countless top notch SCSC ski trips.

Almost 60% of Telluride’s ski runs are beginner/intermediate and there is at least one intermediate slope off of every lift! Just learning to ski or board? Telluride has some of the world’s best ski/board professional instruction. Telluride is famous for it’s groomed intermediate slopes and gourmet powder but also has the thrill of the steeps. Telluride’s ski terrain is truly “one size fits all!”

Furthermore, this trip is not just about the skiing and boarding. Skiers and non-skiers can revel in all the area has to offer in other ways such as cross-country, snow shoeing and ice skating. The modern Mountain Village is just up the hill from this historic town, and they are connected by a free pedestrian gondola. Both Mountain Village, and the town itself, have an immense array of shops, restaurants and night life.
Telluride Ski Resort
We are flying United direct into Montrose with a short 63 mile bus ride, complete with the usual grocery/liquor stop! We will be staying 7 nights at the wonderful and convenient Bear Creek Condominiums.
Don’t miss the SCSC trip of 2022 and be sure to check the website periodically for updates.
ACCOMODATIONS - Bear Creek Condominiums

We will be staying in deluxe two and three-bedroom condominiums at Bear Creek Condominiums. We stayed at this lodging the last time SCSC was at Telluride, and it was our first choice again! There is a semi-private ski lift to take you skiing from the condos and private shuttles that run every 5 minutes to the slopes.
These condos feature washers/dryers in every unit, a gas fire place in every unit, a full kitchen, a full bath for every two occupants, a heated pool and several hot tubs for après ski fun. There is an excellent on demand private shuttle, a great room, a fire pit, a gym, ping pong, boot warmers, a semi-private ski lift and ski storage.

MORE THAN JUST GREAT SKIING So you have no desire to ski or board? No problem. This venue boasts cross country skiing, guided snow shoeing, snow-mobiling, ice skating and dog sledding. You can also indulge in a spa day or a historic walking tour of Telluride.
Do you love great food? Forbes has 10 Reasons Why Telluride Is A Secret Foodie Hot Spot!
Telluride's Gondola system provides free transportation between the town of Mountain Village and the town of Telluride. It's the first and only free public transportation of its kind in the United States. From the town of Telluride at 8,750 feet, the gondola climbs 1,790 vertical feet before reaching Station St. Sophia at 10,540 feet.
TSC events include a welcome party, a scavenger hunt/ pub crawl (with prizes), TSC races, and even an included mountain BBQ picnic with free beer! Also included are TSC après ski parties every ski day and a fabulous Final Dinner/Dance Party! Add to that an SCSC club party, and your social calendar will be full!
