WHY CHOOSE THIS TRIP?
Start the ski season off right with your skier and boarder friends. We are going to Vail; don’t be the one left out of this trip! Yes, there is plenty of groomed terrain, but some fun gnarly stuff too. The fun doesn’t stop on the mountain as there will be lots of parties, après ski and general camaraderie with existing and new winter ski buddies. Vail is full of things to entertain you: shopping, dining, bars and other après nightlife options. Vail is an extraordinary winter vacation destination.
LODGING:
We are staying at the upscale, convenient Landmark Hotel condos in Lionshead Village which are a short walk to the Eagle Bahn Gondola. The Landmark Hotels - Vail
TRANSPORTATION:
This is a land only trip. You will book your own airfare.
There will be a luxury bus to pick us up at Denver airport on 12/14 and from the Landmark on 12/21 around the following flights, subject to change by Southwest Airlines:
12/14/24: Southwest flight 3798 departs Houston Hobby at 10:05 am and arrives in Denver International Airport at 11:35 am.

More than just skiing: The beautiful and friendly Lionshead village is completely closed off to cars and buses offering a short walk the Arrabelle Square outdoor ice rink (with skate rental), and numerous shops and restaurants. Originally built in the late 60s, Lionshead was recently renovated in Austrian-inspired style.
Long-time favorite restaurants Bart & Yetis and Garfinkels (Garf's to locals) anchor the diverse culinary scene. The Vail Chop House and Tavern at Vail Square offer more upscale dining options as well as a great place for slope-side cocktails.
There is a mix of shopping, from luxury goods to much-loved outdoor lifestyle brands like Burton, Patagonia, Salomon and The North Face.
Also, the walk between Lionshead and Vail Village only takes 10-15 minutes, or there is a complimentary In-Town bus that runs regularly, all day long and well into the evening.
There will be a welcome Pizza party, lunch rendezvous set up on the mountain, daily après ski locations established, a delivered meal in the condos as well at a potluck the last night where everyone brings their leftovers.
SKI & SNOWBOARD RENTALS:
There are many places to rent equipment in Vail Lionshead. One place is Ski Base Ski & Snowboard Shop at https://vailskibase.com/.
LIFT TICKETS:
SportsAmerica offers the Epic Pass to purchase.
Go to https://www.sportsamerica.com/epic-spacecity
We strongly encourage members to buy Epic Pass products. Lift tickets are expected to be 2-3 times higher than the Epic Day Pass prices. It is cheaper to purchase EPIC day tickets in advance.
Remember, for the Day Pass products, buy the 'holidays restricted' version NOT the 'limited' version if you expect to ski at Beaver Creek. The limited version is not valid at Beaver Creek.
Guests going on more than 1 trip to an Epic Destination should buy the Epic Local Pass.
