We are a non-profit, member run, Sports and Adventure Club operating in Houston, Texas for 50+ years.  We offer 8 - 12 winter and summer trips per year, all over the world.

Our social, sports, cultural, and charitable events fill the calendar year-round. From September to May we have fun monthly general meetings normally held the 2nd Monday of the month.  Happy Hours are the 4th Thursday of each month, year-round.

Popular local Houston Area activities this year were monthly dinner gatherings, theater outings, bike rides and winery/brewery tours.  Activities are run by volunteers, if there is something you are interested in doing, make a suggestion and we will consider offering it.

Initial trip sales generally start in August and sell briskly, so act quickly to avoid landing on a wait-list.  Trip participation requires membership but it is only $40 for an Individual for an entire season.  Have a look around and we hope you decide to Join Us.  If you need some more time to decide, Click "Add Me to your Mailing List" (Top Left Corner)

Pat Piech and I are hard at work on Space City trip offerings.  We are putting the final touches to the budgets and trips will be posted in August.  We are looking to add a couple more trips, so stay tuned and plan to come to our August meeting to meet with Trip Coordinators.

I wanted to share information on Val Di Fassa. Italy, in late January, 2025 with post trip Venice.. This is a fabulous place for skiers and non-skiers.  There will be plenty of day trips to choose from.  With 7 ski areas, 78 ski lifts, about 200km of runs and 151 slopes for skiers of all abilities, the Val di Fassa in the Italian Dolomites is a superb resort area in its own right, being one of the spokes on the wheel that is the Sella Ronda circuit - the centerpiece of the Dolomiti Superski region. As such, the Val di Fassa has brilliant access to all the other spokes, such as Val Gardena and Arabba, making it a marvellous base for an Italian ski holiday.  Even better, your IKON ski pass can be used at the Dolomiti Superski region.  Stay tuned for more details.

Space City will be going back to Croatia for a Bike & Boat trip.  To call the Melody a boat is an understatement…rather consider it a beautiful motor yacht.  Our Captain Pave is a seasoned ship builder… he built the Melody!  I had the privilege of going on an ebike trip abroad the Meldoy in May.  The crew and guides are top notch.  Croatia is breathtaking with its scenery; it is my favorite place to visit.  There are only 32 slots available so do not delay registering when this trip goes on sale.

Pat and I will continue to keep you posted as we add more trips, we plan trips with all our members in mind.

The annual sandcastle competition is a fund-raising event for the AIA (American Institute of Architects), Galveston County and the ArCH Foundation. Again, this year, about 60 teams will be participating shoveling sand for the prizes.
